After she was hit by a car while running, a 32-year-old woman was sent to the hospital for treatment of significant injuries that appeared to threaten her life. However, her condition improved later on. The woman attempted to cross Pine Street in San Francisco, near Union Square, when a vehicle hit her.
According to a law enforcement official, the driver cooperated with authorities and was unable to stay clear of the pedestrian. This incident is one of several pedestrian accidents that have recently occurred in the city, some of which have been fatal.
